    The law should be repealed.  The people MUST VOTE on the issue.  It CANNOT be established by govmnt fiat.

    I think the ALU’s take is too negative.  The Projo web story said 68 couples so that is 136 people.  I don’t see why a law is a failure if it significantly benefited 136 of us.  And since for many, the issue takes time to get used to, perhaps, as it was in Vermont, it will turn out to be a first step to full marriage equality that could not have come all at once.
    I want to recommend to rifuture readers interested in this, besides communicating within our own group, to consider helping out by posting pro-marriage equality comments on general sites such as providencejournal.com where most of the comments on this story were extremely negative and unpleasant.  I think that kind of thing sets a tone that makes it harder to make progress in the Assembly.
