Please join Amy Rice for a fundraising reception on Wednesday, March 17, from 6-8pm, at Local 121 Speakeasy, 121 Washington Street, Providence, RI. Contribute what you can to help Amy get re-elected as a State Representative this year. If you're unable to attend, you can make a contribution online.

C'mon R-Paq (that should be the name of your PAC). Feel free to raise money where you can. It's the one unfortunate reality of politics. As much as I wish it weren't the case and we could go to publicly financed campaigns, you need $$$ for a successful run.

Best idea ever on this site, I'm going to BOE this week to create the R-Paq PAC!
I meant no slight on Ms Rice, I was just saying something I believe to be true, which is that there are many Dems that would jump all over us if we did something similar. She is going to need a lot of money, as will Reilly as they had a very tight race last year, I would obviously favor him in the race, I just simply wanted to be on record for if/when one of our/my guys do it.
And dont tell me Im crazy Brian - I can see it now:

Not quite leftyrite, but I find it astonishing that XYZ candidate cant raise money from his own voters, he must be (manic, crazy, dumb, losing - you pick).
Ok, that was my attempt at semi-factual humor - hope I made you giggle!

I think the State Democratic Party should hold a fundraiser to "oust" Amy Rice. Wake up Portsmouth & Newport....this woman doesn't even pretend to be kind or care about her constituents! All she wants is people to go to her fundraiser and give her money. Leg. like Amy are part of the problem - not the solution.
