Jobs lost under Bush and Obama

In the final year of George Bush's administration, monthly job losses grew steadily to a peak of 779,000 jobs lost in January 2009, the month Obama took office. Since then the trend has been largely reversed, practically creating a mirror image of Bush's last year.
