“This only a test.”
PEMA (Providence Emergency Management Agency) conducted a routine test of its Port of Providence Sirens Warning System on Monday at noon.
The siren would be used in the event that an emergency required an evacuation of the area.
There will be another test conducted tomorrow, Tuesday, as well. There will be an evacuation drill on Thursday.
