There are nearly twice as many uninsured Rhode Islanders today than there were in 1999.” Tell me again why this isn’t one of the best things Rhode Island can do to improve its economy?

My kids are grown and married. I always had a problem with these events because they made such a big deal about it and some single parent kids were excluded. I’m not sure the outrage will be partisan specific.

Was going to suggest that perhaps the parents should organize a dance outside of the public school. As my daughter’s dad, I agree it sounds like fun.
Her post kind of proves my point that the outrage won’t come from just conservatives. As for the ban on commentary, maybe Bob was expecting serious back lash.
40+ Years ago, my mother forced me to attend the “mother and son” dance. It was an extremely traumatic experience… and I still have not fully recovered..

That’s exactly why our Cranston school sent home a survey asking what the boys and girls wanted. The girls wanted a dance and the boys wanted something different. A committe formed and suggested bowling for the boys, and the event is a blast! My son and I love to go, just as my girls love to go to the girls choice dance!!
