One response to “State House Rally: Stop Paying for Pot Prohibition”

Thanks for all the relevant information posted here!  One thing that gets overlooked sometimes in this argument is the economic value of marijuana as a crop.  The value of Marijuana as a cash crop in the US dates back to colonial times.  The fact that it was ever criminalized at all was completely ridiculous.  There is almost no part of the plant that is not useful for something.  Hemp fiber is one of the strongest natural fibers known to man.  It’s easy to process and it lasts forever!  It’s one of the easiest crops to grow and maintain.  The medicinal extracts and useful by-products are too numerous to mention here.  When are people in this country going to smarten up and try to push the economic benefits of legalization?  What completely amazes me is that the conservatives haven’t joined this bandwagon yet.  Usually if there’s astronomical money to be made in something, they’d have their nose halfway up somebody’s…   never mind, this is a family site.  Maybe they make more money selling “drug war” defense equipment to law enforcement?  Whatever it is, they’ve got it wrong. Urge your lawmakers to come to their senses and vote in favor of decriminalization!!!
