If living in Rhode Island means anything, if our history has any value, it is this: We are the state where religious refugees find solace and acceptance. We stand against mindless brutality, unreasoning hatred and fascism.
I’m going to be at the State House today, defending our state and all the people who have come here for safety and freedom.
I know I won’t be alone.
