Featuring illustrations from Selene Means. As I approached, I saw that the east end of Kennedy Plaza had been transformed into a police car parking lot, with maybe two dozen officers from at least three different law enforcement agencies.

The FANG Collective held a #NoDAPL demonstration outside One Citizens Plaza to protest Citizens Bank’s opening of a line of credit with companies building the pipeline.

Four people with the FANG Collective locked themselves to the outside entrance to the TD Bank in downtown Providence Wednesday morning, to protest the bank’s role in financing the contentious Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL).

Activists and protesters gathered outside TD Bank at Dorance and Westminster St in downtown Providence, chanting and holding signs. Shortly after protesters arrived, the Providence Police Department responded with a half dozen officers to protect the bank. The pictures show the kind of people TD Bank needs to be protected from.
