Some Citizens Bank shareholders attending Thursday’s annual meeting at Citizens Bank headquarters in Providence may have been surprised to be greeted by protesters holding “Shame On Citizens” signs and objecting to the bank’s holdings in oil pipeline companies such as Embridge and Energy Transfer Partners.

Three people representing the FANG Collective locked themselves to the parking lot side of the Citizens Bank building at One Citizens Plaza this morning in Providence. All three were arrested by the Providence Police. In all the action lasted about 35 minutes.
