53 Legislators Co-Sponsor Marriage Equality Bills

Rep. Art Handy and Senator Donna Nesselbush introduced bills today that would legalize marriage equality in Rhode Island.

I emailed both Rep. Lombardi and Sen. Jabour on not co-sponsoring this. Jabour is the puzzle – I believe he’s supported us in the past so I wonder what changed his tune.
I’ll be curious whether or not I get responses from them and what those responses will be.

In any case I have both Lombardi and Jabour on video from this past election cycle when they spoke at WBNA. Their answers to the marriage equality issue were interesting and emphatic. If you want, let me know and I’ll point you to the vids.
