You’ll also note that there was the same spike on February 5th on his public figure page and that Mr. Gemma posted nothing of interest whatsoever on that date.

    The real questions are:

    1) Did Anthony Gemma hire a service to buy facebook fans? Such services charge up to tens of thousands of dollars for the volume of fans obtained by Gemma.

    2) Assuming Gemma paid for the fans for his political facebook page, will he disclose that as an expenditure on his campaign finance report?

    3) Again – assuming that #1 is true, was Mediapeel the company responsible for buying the fans? If that’s the case, was Gemma using money from his political account to pay a company that he owned? That is essentially equivalent to using money from his political account to pay himself, which is pretty shady and possibly a violation of the law.

    Alias Smith,

You have hit the nail on the head. Mr. Gemma is a voodoo marketer. If you notice on another news blog that shall remain nameless, whenever Gemma is featured on a poll tens of thousands of people spontaneously vote in his favor.

This is pretty funny.  Didn’t Newt buy his own book to get it up the charts?
All of this stuff can be manipulated.  And it is telling about what a candidate believes creates “buzz.”

Wilt Chamberlain’s stats look much more reasonable than Gemma’s Facebook.

As a republican I’m glad to hear that every democrat will be sticking for Cicilline. That is pretty funny but I’m not going to complaint – great idea stick with him.
