Careful, Steve, they might offer to appoint YOU to the commission. Are you prepared to accept such weighty responsibilities?

How about the designation of “saint” for secular people whose responsibility it is to go to the mat for religious icons in public places?
These “saints” will put up with all of that unbelievable guff that you have to go through in order to champion religiosity in the plaza in return for congregation cred, and maybe, after many years, an ostrich plume.
Then, after of decades of wearing down the social order, a grateful mob of the proudly ignorant may want to gather in some public place to crown their “saint” with a garland– just after they have rid themselves of the last heretic and burned his books.
    A lemon wedge.
    Anyone? Anyone?
    Bueller?
