One response to “Environmental Disobedience”

A classical take on an old Henny Youngman joke:
This city walks up to me, and he says, “I don’t want to be Athens again. Too decadent.”
So, I said to him, “What would you rather be?”
And he said, “Providence, Rhode Island. It’s cold enough there to think and beautiful enough to be of use year ‘round.”
    “You’re alright, then?”
He says to me, “No, too much like Athens still, with its decadent snobs.”
What’s you problem with Athens, anyway?
“Well,” he says, “They did this and this and this, and I don’t want to think about it.”
Then, go out for a walk. And don’t do this
    And this
    And this.
