If the teachers are not showing up to work on a scheduled day of school, how is that not illegal? Did they all call in sick?

You’re asking about the legality of the strike? A really important issue!

There’s information pertinent to this issue at the following link:  http://www.rifuture.org//labor-strike-cancels-school-in-north-kingstown.html#comment-3771

If the link doesn’t work, you could always scroll up the page on which your comment appears and read the article there.

If scrolling up is too much for you, you could consider continuing to read my comment here, as I’ll include a few relevant quotations from the article you’re commenting on.

“all school personnel striking in solidarity with the custodians”

“several union members at the high school this morning said they expect a court injunction will remand employees back to work ”

“Union officials said they will not ask members to defy a court order”

      You’re welcome!
