    I don’t understand how you can write paragraphs about progressivism, then gush about “classy” casinos. What part of our budget is more regressive than our state’s addiction to gambling? Twin River’s table games being open by July 1 will be anything but classy. They’ll be praying on Rhode Islanders who can ill afford to gamble away their meager incomes.

    Is it true that Angel Taveras was allowed to speak at a national AFT convention–after he took the step of firing all of the Providence school teachers?

    Yes, it’s important to hear dissenting voices. But to feature them as up and comers?

    What a clueless, country club move.

    But, sort of expected.

    Albert Shanker would surely puke.
