"We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” - Elie Weisel

“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor." - Desmond Tutu

"There comes a time when neutrality and laying low become dishonorable. If you’re not in revolt, you’re in cahoots. When this period and your name are mentioned, decades hence, your grandkids will look away in shame." - David Brooks

We know exactly what the hurry is. Invenergy bet millions of bucks they would be up and running by 2019. The Empress Gina has decided she wants this and does not want Invenergy to lose any money, so the fix is in to speed up the process and deny access to people who would ask the hard questions. The new name for the EFSC is the Every Facility gets Sited Board (even if it is a really bad idea) That the EFSB is populated only by officials under the thumb of the empress, people who also have other responsibilities around energy policy, means that double dipping is the norm.

The PUC has rulings to make on the plant. How can the PUC act impartially if Curran already approved the plant? DEM is charged with regulating emissions. If the Director has already ruled for the plant and ruled to keep the public out of the debate, how can DEM do its job properly? It is obvious that the creation of the EFSB was a way to go around the public and keep the fix in. We need an EFSB that is not tied to the political power strings because with the one we have all we get is a totally corrupt process.
