Yurdin (Ward 1) rose to speak about the reasons for his resolution, but sending the resolution to committee seemed a foregone conclusion as Matos had already spoken before Yurdin rose. After Yurdin spoke, Matos repeated her order to send the resolution to committee.

If approved, the resolution would align the City of Providence and Providence Water Supply Board with the Conservation Law Foundation and against Invenergy.

Johnston, through enabling legislation, is allowed to take water from Providence Water, to the tune of 150 gallons per person per day.
